Ranges, not points
Every estimate is a range with a stated confidence. A single number implies a precision that does not exist before the code is written, and it always favours the party that produced it.
Broken down by feature
Estimates are itemised so you can remove scope instead of removing quality. If the total is too high, we will tell you which three items are eighty percent of it.
What widens a range
Undocumented legacy systems, third-party APIs we cannot test in advance, unresolved compliance questions, and stakeholders who have not yet agreed with each other.
What we do not do
We do not quote low to win work and recover it through change requests. If an estimate looks uncomfortably high compared to another vendor, ask both parties what is excluded.
